Gemma Kempthorne – Yoga

Gemma loves to help people connect with themselves in body, mind and spirit. She enjoys blending a range of somatic techniques into her work, as well as philosophical sometimes poetic pondering’s and a healthy dose of humour.  

She completed her yoga training in India in 2013, and has gone on to qualify and teach pregnancy yoga and children’s yoga. She has worked with a wide range of clients and loves to make yoga accessible to all regardless of age, experience or ability. She enjoys working one to one and in small groups so she can provide bespoke training. In addition to her work as a yoga teacher, Gemma is also a Reiki therapist and life coach as well as a multi-disco artist and Mama to three young children. She loves working from Rosehip Barn and sharing the space with others who like her are committed to their personal growth and spiritual evolution.

Gemma will be teaching a nurturing yoga session suitable for everyone.

Penny Woodridge – Energy Alchemy

Energy Alchemy with Penny Woodridge – Enjoy a  40 minute one to one session of energy healing with Penny. A chance to take full benefit of this relaxing and balancing treatment. With the use of crystals and universal energy Penny will realign your chakras and restore equilibrium within your body and soul. There are limited slots for this available on the day, so pre-booking is essential. Bring with you, an open heart and mind, and an intention to focus the session on. 

During the day, everyone will have the opportunity to take part in an exercise facilitated by Penny. Creating a spell bottle using objects and crystals for focus and intention. This can be taken home with you as a reminder of your day, and of your intentions going forward. 

Ildiko Miklos – Nia Mindful Movement & Sound Bath

More than a decade ago Ildiko left behind her multinational banking career and answered her call, helping people to feel better in their body, mind, heart and spirit. She trained in the UK, New Zealand and Hungary. In the past 15 years Ildiko has been supporting people to heal through Touch (Lomi Lomi massage sessions), Movement (Nia mindful movement classes) and Sound (Group sound baths). She is also in training to become a Therapeutic Coach for Women, specialized in midlife changes.

During this day retreat Ildiko will teach a Nia movement class, where you’re invited to sense your body, listen to her voice and move the way which feels good. To close our day together, Ildiko will play her crystal bowls. These singing bowls are tuned to our seven energy centres, to balance our physical and energy bodies, bring calm and harmony to all.

Gemma Williams – Embodied Mindfulness

Mindfulness equates to mind presence in the here and now. Embodied mindfulness is when we bring that conscious state of presence into the whole of our being, our mind, body, and spirit. Gemma will use her Alexander technique training, along with the myriad of skills she’s acquired during her 25-year career, to help you connect with this state of being. You’ll also get the opportunity to learn the self-care practice Constructive Rest. This embodiment practice brings about great change in a surprisingly short space of time. If you’ve been suffering with physical pain, but can’t quite work out why, learning an embodiment practice is going to be life changing. A technique where you become your own teacher, takes you from being a patient to a skilled self-caring human being.
